     In a perfect world, all people would be healthy, happy, and safe.  In a perfect world, all adults would be capable of making their own life decisions.  But, for now, the world isn’t perfect.

 

     For many reasons, some adults have a diminished ability to function safely in society, and are in need of someone to help make important life decisions.  Some of those adults have no one in whom they can depend on to help with those decisions.

 

It is the goal of the Lawrence County Guardianship Services Program to stand in the gap as a voice for those who cannot speak for themselves.  Comprised of qualified, trained volunteers to advocate and protect the rights of these adults, we believe every one has a right to be treated with dignity.

LCGSP Mission Statement

 

           Lawrence County Guardianship Services exists to provide advocacy and guardianship services for at-risk and incapacitated adults residing in Lawrence County Indiana. It is the goal of the organization that the services it provides will be administrated in the least restrictive manner and with the most respect for the value of all individuals in our community.
